First introduced by Fred Bear more than 50 years ago, the Bear Take Down was a modern and innovative design that revolutionized the archery industry. Available in both an A and B length riser, this iconic bow features the signature 1969 heal horn style grip to allow for a deep feel and consistent grip. The 2022 Take Down is available in two timeless wood finishes: Black Maple with a phenolic black stripe or Bubinga and phenolic with an inlaid phenolic black stripe. Years ahead of their time, Fred Bear's Take Down Limbs brought the industry a new technology and superior performance. Today, these Take Down Limbs are constructed of layered hard rock maple and black fiberglass, and handcrafted tips that are reinforced with black and white fiberglass to accommodate modern strings. For 2022, Take Down Limbs are available in three lengths: #1, #2, and #3 limbs. The #1 limbs will make a 56” bow on an A-Riser and a 60” bow with a B-Riser. The #2 limbs will make a 58” bow on an A-Riser and a 62” bow with a B-Riser. And the #3 limbs will make a 60” bow on an A-Riser and a 64” bow with a B-Riser.
